Since she didn't have any Monday classes, Dōjima had spent the morning re-arranging her section of the room as the Romeo-Shrew ran around in the hamster ball she had handwavily acquired for him. It was easier than trying to keep him in the box, and this way he couldn't bite her. Again.

"You owe me," she informed the rodent for the millionth time as she typed away on a report to SOLOMON. "Do you have any idea how much therapy this could make me need? You just had to go and turn into a rat."

Romeo just ran his ball into the wall again, and Dōjima sighed. "A rat. Seriously."

[OOC: Door and Post are open! Come boggle at the untamed shrew!]

"You have a rat in a ball," Jen observed from the doorway, having just come in from a very long run.

"I have a boyfriend in a ball," she correctly dryly, nudging Romeo in another direction with her foot as she shut the laptop. "Rikku assures me that it will wear off, people apparently turn into animals on a regular basis. I thought he'd be back to normal today, since it usually lasts a weekend, but he's still sort of, ano, mouse-ish."

"That's Romeo?" asked Jen. She crouched down in the doorway to get a closer look. "And yeah, these things do usually just wear off, but still, kind of awkward."

Dōjima shook her head and tried to keep from laughing. "Haaaaaaaai. That's Romeo. You can pick him up, but I wouldn't take him out of the ball. He bites."

"Bites?" Jen chuckled briefly. "I think this is normally where you'd worry about whether or not he's had his shots but I think he might not be very happy with either of us later on for that. And it's not exactly a normal situation anyway." Well, by Fandom standards maybe it was.

"Shots?!?" Dōjima squeaked, eyes going wide with surprise. "Oh hell, if he's given me rabies, I'll feed him to the cat. I swear."

"No more biting," she lectured the ball as she hopped off the bed, heading towards the desk. "Hey, did you get a chance to go into France at all? I'd be on the beach right now, if I didn't have a transfigured Romeo to deal with."

"Well, no," Jen said sheepishly. Which wasn't exactly true; she'd had chances, she just hadn't taken them. "But it doesn't look like France out there any more."

"Now we are somewhere warm and tropical and fantastic," Dōjima agreed happily. "Where's the cabana boys when you need them?"

"Anyway, mouse-boy here took me to the chocolate museum when we were in France." Grinning triumphantly, Yurika rescued a box from the haphazard piles on her desk. "Ta-da! I got you the variety bon-bons. I figured you'd need it, with the twins running around."

La la la, Jen totally not thinking about Wes in a grass skirt at the mention of cabana boys, really, not thinking ab -- auuuuuuuuuuugh. Maybe she could convince Alex to -- okay, train of thought emergency-braking now, and thanks in no small part to the box of candy.

"Have I ever mentioned," asked a half-incredulous, suddenly grinning Jen, "that you're the best roomie ever?"

"Not lately, but I know," she answered smugly. Obviously, chocolate and the thought of cabana boys were a beautiful combination.

One that maybe should be tried out later. If Romeo ever decided to become a Real Boy again, that is.

"Once small-and-fuzzy here," at that she nudged the ball again, as Romeo tried to make a break for the closet, "is back to normal and no longer needs a minder, we should have a girl's outing. Round up all our amigas and hit the beach, yeah?"

A little too beautiful, maybe. Good thing Jen didn't have classes today.

She watched Romeo in the hamster ball and couldn't repress a tiny giggle. "I'm going to guess you're not going to let me try and get out of it, are you?"

"Nope!" Dōjima grinned unrepentantly, and grabbed her phone to take a picture of Jen laughing at the irate rodent. "Smile! Nah, I just think all the girls can use a boy-free zone sometimes. It's good for us to get away from all the testosterone-poisoning."

"If you don't want to go play on the beach, we could just do a pjs and pizza party instead, but the water looks too nice to pass up."

Jen decided not to mention the fact that she sometimes thought she was a little underexposed to testosterone, for a variety of reasons including the fact that she knew she'd feel stupid the second those words came out of her mouth.

"It does look nice," Jen agreed. "I never knew when I was going to get a decently sunny day on the beach in Silver Hills, and Millennium City wasn't anywhere near the ocean."

She considered for all of 10.6 seconds, then inhaled slowly. "Yeah, sure. Why not?"

It would be rude and unladylike for Dōjima to pump her fist in the air and cheer in victory. It really would.

Which is probably why she did it anyway.

"Score!" she cheered, bouncing in place. "We'll have a blast! Hopefully the island won't, you know, take us to Antarctica tonight or something."

Jen gave her a long-suffering sigh that was completely unconvincing. "I wouldn't be surprised, but I hope not."

She was actually kind of looking forward to this proposed beach trip now.
