Room 503, Monday Morning.

Monday found Dōjima in her room, door open and music blaring as she worked on her packing. She wasn't leaving for good - not yet - but she had the 'letter' from her Father, ordering her back to Japan starting tomorrow for a week's orientation with the STN-J.

She was going to miss everyone leaving and the move to the cabins, dammit. If Yurika were a paranoid person, she'd think Father Juliano was doing this on purpose to try and alienate her from her friends.

Okay, so she was paranoid, and she did think that was a possibility. A rather strong possibility. Still, orders were orders, and therefore she was packing things into three sets; items for this trip, things that could be shipped home, and stuff for the cabins. It was just easier to deal with it all at once.

"Mine, Tokyo's, and your homework's," she corrected with a laugh. "If you don't take and pass your classes, your father might kill me."

"Business classes, yet," Romeo said, tone only half complaining. "My father drove a hard bargain; I suppose that's why he's a success."

He made a face. "I know it's my fate, but I still have a hard time imagining myself at the head of the Montague estate."

"Why?" she asked, setting aside the packing for a moment to sit on the bed. "I know what your father wants, obviously, but what do you want?"

"If I knew that I'd have an easier time with all of this," Romeo said ruefully. "I want to be with my love. I want to be a good man. I want to live in Verona someday. That's as far as I get."

He gave her a look. "Do you mind that I'm so set on Verona?"

"No, not really," Yurika replied with a wry grin. "I mean, I get it."

"Instead of taking Father Juliano's offer, I could have always run away. Started over somewhere that people didn't know me, where there weren't any expectations or baggage, but I didn't. Partly because I didn't have anywhere to go, but mostly because Japan is just as much a part of me as being a Dōjima is."

Romeo quirked a brief smile at her. "We'll have to figure that out, won't we, while I'm at school?" he said. "Your Tokyo, my Verona. I don't think we can give up either."

"I'm not worried," she answered. "Oh, and your father says we have to come to Verona on visits."

"That ought not be so bad," Romeo mused. "You can work on your tan and talk to Rosaline, if you want."

He gave her a sad attempt at a smile. "I'll try not to worry, if you will not."
