The Phantasm Club [Tokyo, Sunday Evening]

The club was already packed, the young and beautiful population of Tokyo out to drink and dance the night away.

It had been chosen as a meeting place due to its central location, but it wasn't hard to see why it was one of Dōjima's favorite hangouts.

Where booze was involved, Reno was totally a fan of justice.

He waited patiently for justice to be served in shot format, and then smirked over his shoulder at the bringer of justice, with a nod hello.

"Appreciate it, zoto."

"Hey, you earned it," she teased, raising her own shot to him. "Even if next time you're wearing the damn muzzle."

"And the leash, zoto," Reno agreed, raising his glass in turn. "Can't forget the leash. That's half the fun, right there, ain't it?"

"Diiiiiiiiiiirty." Not that Dōjima minded. She just grinned and tossed back the contents of her glass. "There's some things about you I never wanna know, Red."

Reno had himself a bit of a chuckle before knocking back his own drink.

"Dirty's the other half of the fun, but we don't gotta get into detail or whatever, yo." He nodded toward the door. "One hell of a city you got, out there."

"Thanks," Yurika replied, shooting a wistful glance at the door. "It's something, alright. Now you know why sometimes I get so stir-crazy stuck in a small place like Fandom."

"It's homey," Reno shared, turning and getting as good a view out the front door as the front of the bar would allow. "Wouldn't know it by walkin' through Edge, but where I'm from used to be like that. Bright an' shit, day and night. Kinda makes me wanna run out the door and get a better looksee at the place."

"I'm not going to bed tonight," she answered with a grin. "Maybe after this, I show you some of the sights closest to here. Our portal isn't until some unholy hour tomorrow morning."

"It'd be like runnin' around Sector Eight again," Reno agreed with a bit of a nod, trying to communicate in gestures to the Japanese bartender that he really, really wanted another top-off of whatever that was that had been in his glass. "A quick run around the block wouldn't hurt nothin', I don't think. Take in all the local freaks and try an' stick their faces in Midgar, or whatever."

"So it used to look like this?" Yurika asked, claiming another drink and waving it around slightly. "I thought all the concrete and pollution felt familiar."

"I have to warn you, though. No matter what our movies might claim, Tokyo does not have dragons."

"Well, then there's one thing Tokyo and Midgar don't got in common," Reno mused, shaking his head. "No dragons? This place ain't never gonna feel homey, yo. And you got, like, trees, too. The hell."

The 'please fill my glass' mime wasn't working, so Reno gave up, finally just waving his arms about, gritting his teeth, and pointing into his empty glass. "Drink! Sake! El drinku in la glasso?"

Reno was lucky that Al Bhed was easy, anyhow.

Dōjima rolled her eyes and ordered the bartender to keep the drinks coming in rapid Japanese.

"I need more," she said apologetically, "and at the rate you order, it could take us years to get our drinks."

Reno scratched his head, and then shrugged his shoulders, and then smirked. "Tell you what, Doji, I'll just let you do all the orderin' in here on in. I freakin' suck at speakin' Wutai."

"Poor boy. You realize this means I'm ordering you quality booze, and not your favorite gut-rut crap, right?" Dōjima handed him another shot and grinned wickedly. "My treat, for a job well done. Then we'll go ride the trains drunk or something, to give you the grand tour of Tokyo."
