Somewhere in Paris, Wednesday Afternoon

It was cold. There was snow. In July.

Rikku and Dōjima greatly disapproved of this situation, even with cute penguins.

Which was probably why they had grabbed a portal and gone back to Paris, with the intention of seeing exactly how much damage they could inflict on the shopping districts with some quality Girl Time.

Pity the poor shopgirls.

"Ano, Rikku," Dōjima said, grinning as she flipped through the rack, "What do you think, black or pink?"

"You're cruel," she answered, laughing. "I can see it now, 'I miss u, cme ovr nau?', and then they're sad we aren't home. Or better yet, send the 'guess what I'm wearing?' text. Boys tend to loooooooooooove that."

"Okay, now we have to," Rikku grinned, punching numbers into her cell.

do u miss me? im wearing something hot!!!

Well, she would be in a minute, so it was almost true.

"And, sent," she smirked.

Dōjima laughed, trying to juggle her armload of clothing as she dug in her purse for her cell.

Flipping it open, she winked at Rikku before typing out a message.

ohaiyo, aijin. odoranai?

"Mean!" she gleefully announced, hitting send. "Too bad they're gonna miss out," she sighed, heading towards a dressing room. "Hey, Rikku, wanna share one? I'm gonna need help with these laces."

"Oh, good, me too," Rikku laughed, following Dojima in. "Some of these things, I'm not entirely sure how they're supposed to go on at all. And they'll get to see them eventually, right? I mean, that's the point. They just have to have a little patience, here."

"Yes, because patience is going to be top on their list of priorities when they get our messages," Dōjima replied, setting things down to try and sort through her pile. "I just asked my boyfriend to dance, in a very dirty manner. If he's not sulking outside my door when we get back, I'm going to be disappointed in him."

"Just remember, when in doubt, the bow goes in front," she said, waving apink and black outfit at Rikku. "If that fails, turn it around? They don't have to make sense, they just have to be fun."

"If they're showing too much skin, move it around some, and if they're showing too little skin, move it some more," she grinned. "At least the ones with boob-cups make it easy to figure out."

The "boob-cups" in question were a pale pink - nearly white - basque with heavy black lacing that fastened in the back.

"How are you even supposed to put this on by yourself?" she frowned. "I mean, I get how you're supposed to get it off, but putting it on, you'd need to borrow a friend, wouldn't you?"

"Practice makes perfect?" Dōjima suggested, giggling. "Boob-cups? Classy, Rikku. If it ties in the back, just lace it up loosely, then pull to fit and tie it off. You get the hang of it eventually."

"In the interests of our shopping quest today, however, I'm your humble assistant." She bowed slightly before discarding the pink in favor of gold top with little sleeves and starting to change. "That's the real reason girls always shop in pairs. Boys think it's just to be vexing, but really, we don't want to do up our own zippers."

"This one's got clasp-things, like a bra," she mused, before tossing it aside so she could strip out of her clothes. "I guess you just do it up in front and then scoot it around to the back again? It's all boned and that might be kinda hard. I guess that's just part of the whole 'price of beauty' stuff, right?"

She kicked off her shorts and eyed the pile of clothes again. "If this one needs stockings, do you think it has to be these stockings? Or can I just use stockings I already have? These are a nicer black, though."

"You can use the ones you already have, but it's nice to have a back-up pair. I keep getting runs in mine, since I'm a clutz," she admitted. "Yeah, just do the clips in front, then suck in your tummy and turn it around, and adjust for comfort."

"Besides, it's not like you're going to be wearing it long, if you're wearing it right."

Just as she was halfway into the contraption, Rikku's phone beeped. As soon as she pulled it out, she started giggling.

"Someone's being nosy," she laughed, handing the phone over to Dojima.

Suck her stomach in and turn it around ... whoa, it wasn't uncomfortable at all, once she tugged it a little and got it into place. She fastened the garters to the stockings and posed. "Wouldn't he love to know what I'm wearing?"

It was really not safe to let Dōjima get ideas.

"I'm sure he will," she said angelically, whipping the phone up and pointing it at the other girl. "Say 'moshi moshi', Rikku!" she sing-songed, snapping the picture and quickly punching the buttons to send it off to Reno. Well, hopefully to Reno.

"You didn't!" Rikku gaped, clapping a hand over her mouth and collapsing into giggles. "Tell me you did not just send that to him! He's gonna freak out! You are evil!"

When the giggles finally stopped ...

"Where's your phone?"

Dōjima shrieked and grabbed her phone, holding it away from Rikku as she laughed. "No way!"

Then it beeped at her, and she eyed it warily before flipping it open to check her message. "Well now, your boy isn't the only one being nosy."

"Come onnnnnnnn," she laughed, holding her hand out. "Fair's fair! He's being nosy, so you should give him an answer. And he needs to see what he's missing out on, so he and Reno can suffer together!"

Because torturing your significant other was fun, that was why.

"He's just asking where I am, not what I'm wearing," she protested as she handed the phone over to Rikku. "We are gonna be sooooooo dead."

Grinning, she shook her hair out and stuck a provocative pose, letting one of the little sleeves slide down a bit. "Go for it, maestro!"

Rikku clicked the picture and punched in Romeo's number. "Sent!" she giggled. "He should appreciate getting a sneak-preview. They can tell us which ones they like. It's like virtual shopping, except dirtier."

She peeled herself out of the basque-thing with some relief, eying a white-and-blue lacy bra and panties set. "These next," she decided. "I like the little ribbon on them. Kinda elegant, a little fun."

"The anticipation will just make them happier to see us when we get back," she answered cheerfully, reclaiming her phone to check the picture. "Oooh, niiiiice picture. Thanks, Rikku."

"That? Very elegant and classy," she agreed, picking out something, well, slightly more naughty than nice. "It says you're a lady, and he damn well better behave accordingly."

"Plus maybe it'll trick him into thinking I am one," she said, eyes dancing as she tugged on the panties. "I can act all refined and then be very 'well, are you just gonna stand there, or what?'"

Which ... totally wouldn't happen, because that kinda implied Reno would be hanging out over there while she was dressed in lingerie, and ... yeah.

She looked over at her friend's red-and-black piece and grinned. "Oh, man, that's awesome," she said. "..... I think maybe he needs to see that one, too."

Dōjima stuck her tongue as she twisted around to look in the mirror. "You seriously think Red's gonna stand still while you prance around like that? You're gonna have to tie that boy to the bed, if you don't want to get tackled."

"Handcuffs work better," Rikku said, with the best innocent face she could muster.

Well, they did.

"Say cheese," Rikku said, picking up Dojima's phone again and aiming. "I dunno why people say to say cheese, anyway. Maybe 'cause 'I look hot in this' takes too long?"

"Handcuffs only work better if you've got something immediate to attach them too. If you need reach, or less-noise, go for the silk scarves," Dōjima replied, equally innocently.

"Oh no you don't!" Grinning, she reached out to grab Rikku's arm and pull her into the picture. "If we're going to do this, we're going to do it right. Say sexy!"

"But then he'll see both of us!" Rikku said, giggling harder and flailing a little. "Unless we ... send a copy to each?"

Oh. There was a special hell for this sort of thing, wasn't there?

Maybe it'd have nice drinks?

Rikku grinned and tried to hold the cameraphone so it'd get both of them in the shot. "Sexy!"

"We're more covered than if we were wearing a bikini at the beach," Dōjima pointed out, putting one arm around the smaller girl's shoulders suggestively. "They can both have a copy, it'll make their year."

"Sexy!"

Yup, a special hell. It was going to be great.

"Oh my gosh, they're gonna kill us," Rikku said, cracking up. "Wait, is that one yours or mine?" She pointed to the red fringed matching set in Dojima's pile, and noticed her own pair peeking out a few feet away. "Ooooh, I think we each grabbed that one."

Pause.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"I dunno, Pinky ~~or whatever the meta would be~~, we might need more llamas to pull it off," she teased. "I knew that sweet and cute routine was all just an act, you're evil."

"YES."

Her phone beeped again, and Dōjima grinned as she read "Awww...I think someone liked the gold picture you took!"
